After José asked me to be on his Ministry's Advisory Board, I was first hesitant to say yes. After thinking about it for a little while, I realized there are many people "out there" who are knee-deep in debt. I knew they needed someone like José to lead them out of debt. So, if I could help in any small way to help him with any advice (who me?), I should do it and also, as "Unto the Lord." I'm glad God led me to say YES! Amen.

My walk with Jesus Christ began in 1969 after the birth of my second son.

This journey has taken met through difficult, sad, and happy times as I learned to follow God through the ups and downs of life.

Our good friend and former neighbor, José Zambrana, had developed a ministry on stewardship called Debt Free In Christ. Even though we knew many of the principles that he taught, we became committed to making this a principle of our giving and how we spent the money that God has given to us. I personally saw and heard, as José shared his life's experiences, how he had affected others in this very important area.

Then he asked if I would like to be on the board of DFIC. After much prayer, I agreed to serve the Lord in this way.

I thank God for this opportunity to be part of the DFIC ministry as I echo God's principles on stewardship.

I believe very strongly in stewardship. I know what it has accomplished in my life, especially in my relationship with Christ.

I know the integrity of José; I see the man’s “talk is his walk” and God truly uses him. I understand that each of us is not called to go out into the mission field.

But as a board member and with God’s grace, I am able to help promote God’s message of stewardship to His people by supporting and helping guide DFIC.

Pastor Felix Robles

Board Member-The Way Christian Life Center, Plattekill, NY

I am married to Evelyn and we have 2 children, Felix and Victoria, and 3 grandchildren. We love living, working, and ministering in the Hudson Valley New York area specifically Newburgh and Plattekill. We know first-hand that this is a great place to live and raise a family as well as a city where its residents know, love, and serve God’s purposes in the world.

I am a bi-vocational minister, working as an Accountant in my own business, Robles and Associates, Inc. in Newburgh for the last 30 years. I have been the Senior Pastor at The Way Church since September of 2013, making the Kingdom of God visible and tangible in Plattekill New York. Our families have known José and Evie for over 25 years. I am blessed to be a DFIC Board member since its foundation.
